About the NSPA Regional Scholarship Workshops
On June 22, 2016 the National Scholarship Providers Association (NSPA) and the American Savings Foundation co-hosted a regional conference for scholarship providers in Rocky Hill, CT. It was a full day of workshops and learning featuring keynote speaker, Dr. Bridget Terry Long from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Dr. Long’s talk, “Nudging Students towards Success” was about interventions that have been demonstrated to help ‘nudge’ students toward college completion and success. Over 70 professionals attended including scholarship providers, non-profit service providers, education professionals, representatives of the business community and community leaders. This event was part of a series of workshops being offered free as a pilot project by NSPA thanks to a generous grant from the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation.
